Transform old books into decorative pieces at MCPL Marathon City Branch

The Marathon County Public Library has a great idea for how to give new life to some old books, and will show people how on December 17 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at its Marathon City Branch, 515 Washington St., Marathon City.
Teens and adults are invited to fold the pages of a book in a certain way to make words and other designs pop out, with no cutting involved. Patrons will learn about one method of this book folding art and be able to try it themselves. Attendees may bring their own book if they would like. All supplies, including books, will be provided.
This event is free and open to the public. Registration is preferred, but not required. For more information, call 715-443-2775 or visit https://mcpl.us/events/6754.
