MCPL Wausau to offer movie screening, book discussion Nov. 27

People always say that the book is better than the movie, but what do you think? Come and debate when the Marathon County Public Library offers its next Book-to-Movie Night on November 27 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the library’s Wausau Headquarters, 300 N. First St., Wausau.
Patrons of all ages are invited to watch the 2003 film adaptation of the classic book Holes, starring Shia LaBeouf, Sigourney Weaver and more. Then, we’ll discuss the movie and how it compares to the book by Louis Sachar, about a boy sent to a correctional camp in the Texas desert. There, the boy makes his first real friend, discovers a treasure and finds a new sense of himself.
This event is free and open to all ages, with no registration required. For more information, call 715-261-7220 or visit https://mcpl.us/events/5681.
