MCPL Athens Branch to offer yarn coiling craft days November 13-15

Want to make a small basket or bowl to keep your things in? Or use your imagination to create a unique small fiber sculpture? Adults can learn the ancient technique of fiber art basket-making during a free event happening from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on November 13, 14 and 15 at the Marathon County Public Library’s Athens Branch, 221 Caroline St., Athens.
Library staff will guide participants in making small sculptures using the technique of yarn coiling, where yarn is coiled in concentric circles to form rings. All supplies and instruction will be provided. Stop in any of three days mentioned to participate!
