Peoples State Bank to hold annual Pumpkin Patch
Area food pantries will benefit from the annual Pumpkin Patch held at Peoples State Bank in Rib Mountain on Saturday, Oct. 13. The event runs from 9 a.m. – Noon at the bank located at 2904 Rib Mountain Dr., Wausau.
Attendees are asked to bring a nonperishable food item to the Pumpkin Patch to exchange for a free pumpkin (while supplies last). All food collected will be donated to the Marathon County Hunger Coalition to help supply food pantries throughout the county. The event is open to the public.
“We do this event to let people know that we want to be a part of something great. We care not only about our customers and employees, but we also care about our community,” said Vicki Mauritz, branch manager of Peoples State Bank-Rib Mountain. “Events like this help build a strong community, which gives people pride for living in a great place.”
Families are encouraged to bring their children to help pick out a pumpkin. Children can decorate their pumpkins with stickers. Cookies, coffee, and apple cider will be served, courtesy of Rib Mountain Quality Foods IGA.
The pumpkin patch will be held rain or shine. For more questions, please call 888-929-9902.
