Mosinee Brewing Company to hold ribbon cutting

The Mosinee Brewing Company will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the business at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 26 at 401 Fourth St. The event will be followed by an invitation-only event from 5 to 9 p.m.
The business will include a brewery and tap room, a small beer garden and an event space designed for meetings, parties and special events. Located near River Park, customers will be able to visit the scenic park with their beverages.
Beers from Wisconsin will be featured at the Mosinee Brewing Company, with four non-alcoholic options also available. The business will begin brewing their own craft beer later this year. In the spirit of establishing the business as a gathering place, coffee will be available and visitors are welcomed to bring in food from local restaurants to pair with their drink of choice.
“We have restored and re-purposed a building that is 100 years old,” said Lyn Kearns, co-owner. “The hemlock that once served as the flooring has been re-used as the ceiling throughout the brewery.” Kearns owns the business with her husband Greg.
The renovation of the historic building has been completed by local contractors, craftsmen and artists. The rock used in the bathroom sinks and the bar top was sourced from the Wisconsin River. Wausau Tile designed and created the counter tops.
