Hang your hat on historical MCPL Spencer Branch event

Do you have a hat the means something special to you? Maybe an old baseball cap you’ve had for a while, or maybe a hat you wear just for special occasions? Then visit the Marathon County Public Library to hear about the history of hats on November 1 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the library’s Spencer Branch, 105 S. Park St., Spencer.
Anna Chilsen-Straub from the Marathon County Historical Society will give a presentation on historical ladies’ and men’s hats from the late 1800s through the 1970s. Come relive nearly 100 years of history and see how the styles evolved through the decades (and feel free to wear a hat of your own!)
This event is free and open to the public with no registration required. For more information, call 715-659-3996 or visit https://mcpl.us/events/5823.
