A one-day seminar, “Feeling Connected in Dementia Care with Brenda Avadian” will take place on Thursday, November 8 from 8:30a.m. – 3:30p.m. at Bell Tower Residence Assisted Living, 1500 O’Day Street in Merrill.

Keynote speaker is from Brenda Avadian from Pear blossom, CA. Brenda Avadian, MA, peeled off the icy-cold winters of Wisconsin and a tenured professorship to help California-based Lockheed merge two diverse corporate cultures.

She stepped up to be a caregiver for her father with dementia of the Alzheimer’s type. Defying statistics, she is the youngest child of three and lived the farthest from home.

Brenda is an advocate for the Continuum of Care. She brings knowledge, hope, and humor to family caregivers and the professionals who support them.

She is humbled, surprised, and grateful that TheCaregiversVoice.com, one of the websites she founded, is celebrating its 20th Anniversary in 2018.

An author of nine books, including two bestsellers, she speaks nationally. Otherwise, she’s chained to her desk from pre-dawn to post sunset, interviewing people worldwide, coaching caregivers, implementing strategy with organization leaders, and writing about 100 articles a year for national publications and organizations.

Sign up for The Caregiver’s Voice Monthly newsletter here: eepurl.com/tKet

The seminar is open to the public and 6Continuing Education Units are available for professionals. Cost is $15 and includes lunch. Seating is limited. Please register by calling 715-536-5575.
