County Materials builds a brighter tomorrow through charity golf outing

County Materials Corporation hosted its 12th annual Charity Golf Outing on Sept. 11 at the Minocqua County Club. This year’s event brought together 60 corporate sponsors and raised more than $178,710 for charities supported by the Sonnentag Foundation. Since the company began hosting a charity golf event 12 years ago, County Materials has raised more than $1.1 million for the foundation’s charitable efforts.

When County Materials first started hosting a charitable golf outing, it was the company’s vision to bring together business leaders from around the concrete industry for a fun and rewarding experience that helps to build stronger communities where County Materials has locations. These are the places where County Materials’ team members, customers and industry affiliates live and raise their families. Preference is given to mentoring programs for children, support services for women who experience domestic violence and sexual assault, outreach programs and vocational skills training for veterans, as well as social and recreational camps for children and adults with disabilities and respite for their care givers.

This year’s Major Event Sponsors were Continental Cement, Hawkeye Pedershaab, Lafarge Holcim, Truck Country and Hansen Reynolds LLC. Presenting Sponsors included Fabick CAT, Rock Road Companies, Inc., Michels, BASF, Alternative Risk Resources and Hamilton Kent.

County Materials thanks the many organizations who made this year’s event possible. Their contributions allow the Sonnentag Foundation to continue supporting and expanding strategic giving to organizations that offer life-changing opportunities and empower others.
