Congressman Sean Duffy will be the keynote speaker at the Wausau Region Chamber of Commerce’s third annual Manufacturing Excellence Awards on Tuesday, Oct. 16. Duffy will discuss the importance of support for free enterprise, entrepreneurship and the American workforce and how this support relates to a sustained, thriving economy.

In addition to delivering the keynote address, Duffy will receive the 2018 Spirit of Enterprise Award from the US Chamber of Commerce in recognition of his consistent support for pro-growth policies at the federal level. The Congressman is in his fourth term, representing the 7th Congressional District of Wisconsin.

Six finalists have been named for the 2018 Manufacturing Excellence Awards. The Wausau Region Chamber of Commerce will hold an award ceremony honoring manufacturers that have demonstrated excellence in their business from 5- 7:30 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn in Rib Mountain.

The event will recognize a recipient in both a small to medium-sized manufacturer category and a large manufacturer category. The recipient will have displayed excellence in contributing to the growth in the region’s economy, operations, innovation, workplace culture, quality jobs, supply chain management and commitment to the region.
