Families are the focus at CommUnity Fest 2018

Where can you see amazing sculptures made from food, play games, enjoy a variety of children’s activities and tour big trucks and trailers — all while making our community a better place to live? At United Way of Marathon County’s CommUnity Fest! Join the fun in the Expo Building at Marathon Park from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22.
Fifteen creative and colorful sculptures made entirely of non-perishable food items will take over the building at the United We Can food sculpture contest. Mix in more than 20 free, fun family crafts and activity booths, an awesome DJ spinning tunes, costumed mascots and big trucks, trailers and tractors and it’s a recipe for a special day together. And you and your family can make a huge difference by bringing non-perishable food items and dollars to vote for the United We Can People’s Choice winner. Each non-perishable food item and each dollar buys one vote, with all proceeds raised to benefit the Marathon County Hunger Coalition to help fill our county’s food pantries.
Grab a CommUnity Fest card when you enter the building, collect the stamps, and get your family in the drawing for some great prizes including a family bowling package from Dale’s Weston Lanes.
Rain or shine, your whole family will have a day to remember and enjoy some fun for a purpose at CommUnity Fest.
