MCPL Wausau to offer Anime Afternoon for teens August 20

With school right around the corner, teens can close out their summer vacation with a dose of anime! The Marathon County Public Library will offer an Anime Afternoon for teens on Aug. 20 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at its Wausau Headquarters, 300 N. First St., Wausau.
The library will screen four different anime series, including “Tales of Agriculture,” about an university freshman with a special gift for communicating with microorganisms; “Monthly Girl’s Nozaki-kun,” about a girl who confesses her love to a classmate, who then gives her an autograph and invites her home to help him work on his manga drawings; “One Week Friends,” about a girl who forgets her friends each Monday and must make new ones every week; and “Tsukgakirei,” about two students who become friends when they are put in charge of equipment for the sports festival. All four titles are rated for teens ages 13 and older.
This event is free and open to the public with no registration required. For more information, call 715-261-7230 or visit https://mcpl.us/events/4890.
