Find your inner poet at MCPL Athens Branch’s Afternoon Poetry Workshop
Are you a poet? Or do you love to write and are looking for an opportunity to enhance your writing skills with that certain creative touch? The Marathon County Public Library can help, with its Afternoon Poetry Workshop on September 10 from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Athens Branch Library, 221 Caroline St., Athens.
Local poet Dawn Anderson will visit the library to hear poetry read by other local poets and to offer feedback and advice on their works. Dawn will also discuss her own work, which has appeared in a wide variety of journals, newspapers, magazines, and archives, and talk about her published book and poetry blog, which have an international following. This will be a wonderful workshop to help you discover your inner poet!
