Marathon County Crime Stoppers is trying to determine who has been breaking into various bars and both stealing property and damaging equipment.

At about 2:30 a.m. on June 25, an unknown person entered a bar after it was closed and locked in the 1700 block of Old Highway 51 in Kronenwetter. The suspect wore a black hat, black jacket or sweatshirt, black gloves with a light colored tab on top of the wrist, blue jeans and what appeared to be hiking shoes. The suspect stole cigarettes and money and damaged machines inside the bar before leaving.

In the early morning hours of July 2, someone attempted to break into a bar in the 4700 block of Stewart Avenue in the Town of Stettin but didn’t get into the bar. There are no suspects in this matter.

In the late evening hours of July 9 to the early morning hours of July 10, someone illegally entered a bar in the 14000 block of County Road F in the Town of Berlin and damaged a large amount of property and stole money also. There is no suspect description of this burglary.
