Hear stories, see sea creatures and more at MCPL Wausau event
Do your kids enjoy looking at the Phyllis Donner Aquarium in the Marathon County Public Library’s children’s area? Or are they fascinated by scaly creatures from under the sea? Then visit the library for its World Oceans Day story time on June 9 from 10:30 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. at the MCPL Wausau Headquarters, 300 N. First St., Wausau.
Library staff will read a series of ocean-them stories, then kids and families can hear about the library’s aquarium from MCPL’s expert Darren Letner, who will also offer the opportunity to touch and hold some real live ocean creatures! A few games and crafts will also be available for attendees to take part in, with all supplies provided.
This event is free and open to the public with no registration required. For more information, call 715-261-7220 or visit https://mcpl.us/events/4875.
