“This week is organized by and for downtown employees as a way of saying ‘thank you for making the Wausau River District your second home’,” says Wausau River District executive director Blake Opal-Wahoske. “We have about 32% of all day time employees in the city of Wausau working downtown. Our downtown would simply not have the vibrancy it does without these folks being here. We hope the activities planned add some fun to your work week.”
Downtown Employee Appreciation Week would not be possible without the generous support of its sponsors: Compass Properties, Eastbay, Ruder Ware, The Wisconsin Woodchucks, Nationwide, and the City of Wausau.
