View anime after dark during special event at MCPL Wausau
Adults interested in Japanese animation will not want to miss the Marathon County Public Library’s next session of Anime After Dark on May 31 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the library’s Wausau Headquarters, 300 N. First St., Wausau.
Attendees will watch the first three episodes of “Chaika: Coffin Princess” and “Serial Experiment Lain.” In “Chaika,” Toru and his sister have been hired by Chaika to help her find the remnants of Arthur Gaz. They must battle the Eight Heroes in order to help Chaika give her father a proper burial. In “Serial Experiments Lain,” Lain discovers that girls in her school are receiving emails from a dead student. Signing on to read the email sends Lain on a journey that she won’t soon forget. All titles shown carry a rating of R17+ and are for mature audiences only.
