The Wisconsin Woodchucks announce their new radio voice for the upcoming 2018 season. Alex Thomas, a Telecommunications major at Ball State University, will be calling all radio games for the Wisconsin Woodchucks.

Thomas will be entering his senior year at Ball State University. A Carmel, IN, native, Alex is excited to be joining the Woodchucks for the 2018 season. At Ball State, Alex does play-by-play, color analysis, sideline reporting and executive producing with ESPN3 for women’s basketball, men’s volleyball, soccer, men’s basketball, and swimming and diving. He is also the co-host of Red Zone Sports Talk and does play-by-play and analysis for the men’s basketball team on WCRD 91.3. Alex has also spent time interning for WISH-TV, helping as a Content Creator for the NCAA Social Media Team and working as a Videographer for the Ball State football team.

Alex says, “I am incredibly honored for this opportunity to work in the Northwoods League, and with one of its most historic organizations. The Woodchucks have a phenomenal environment and culture that can help me grow as a broadcaster and as a professional. I can’t wait to get to Wausau and learn from the great players and people associated with this team. It should be a great summer of baseball, both on the field and in the booth!”
Hear Alex this summer for all Wisconsin Woodchucks games broadcast on Fox Sports Wausau AM 1390 and FM 93.9.

The Wisconsin Woodchucks home opener is Tuesday, May 29. The Woodchucks offer many great ticket options for the upcoming 2018 season. Ticket packages and group tickets are now on sale. Order yours today by calling the Woodchucks Ticket Sales team at 715-845-5055 or stopping by the Woodchucks Front Office at 2401 N. 3rd St., Wausau. Single game tickets will go on sale on April 20.
