MCPL to serve as CLICK for Babies drop-off site May 1-September 30
The Marathon County Public Library is happy to once again participate in the collection of knit and crocheted hats for babies as part of the Wisconsin CLICK for Babies campaign! All MCPL locations will accept these handmade donations May 1 through September 30.
All nine MCPL locations will serve as drop-off sites for anyone who wishes to knit and donate a cap for babies May 1 through September 30. The caps will be part of a package of items that new parents receive in an effort to raise awareness of Shaken Baby Syndrome.
Anyone who knits or crochets a cap is asked to create one that is at least 50 percent purple. As a general rule, caps should have a circumference of 14 in. (13-15 in.) and a height of 4-6 inches. Patterns for caps and more can be found at https://www.clickforbabies.org.
This event is free and open to the public with no registration required. For more information, call 715-261-7230 or visit https://mcpl.us/events/5061.
