MCPL and Parks Dept. bring Trail Tales to local parks April 16-May 31
With spring here and summer just around the corner, the Marathon County Public Library and the Marathon County Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department are getting folks outdoors with some Trail Tales!
Beginning April 16, kids and families can read the pages of two children’s books while walking along trails at Alexander Airport Park, 625 Lake View Drive, Wausau; and Memorial Park, 505 Memorial Park Road, Wausau. Folks can visit these parks on Wausau’s southeast side and read the books any time the parks are open from April 16 through May 31.
A special kick-off event will also be held on April 21 from 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at Alexander Airport Park, featuring a ribbon cutting, the Boy Scouts, giveaways and more!
