Inpatient Rehab at Aspirus Wausau Hospital earns CARF Accreditation
Aspirus Wausau Hospital (AWH) Inpatient Rehabilitation recently earned a three-year accreditation from CARF International.
AWH’s Inpatient Rehabilitation earned the accreditation for demonstrating to an on-site team of surveyors its commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable and of the highest quality. CARF Accreditation represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization and involves a rigorous peer review process.
This is the eighth consecutive, three-year accreditation earned by AWH Inpatient Rehabilitation. The hospital also ranked in the 86th percentile in the nation for outcomes. This ranking is generated from an annual report from Uniform Data System, which compares outcomes of more than 870 inpatient rehab facilities in the United States.
“Achieving this goal is no small feat, as there are some 1,600 standards that must be met. We not only passed – we excelled,” said Margaret Anderson, M.D., medical director for AWH Inpatient Rehabilitation. “Every member of our rehabilitation team deserves credit for this honor by performing as an integrated team to provide the highest quality, and personalized care.”
