The Wisconsin Woodchucks are excited to bring back Local Heroes Day with a charity Police vs. Fire softball game honoring Detective Jason Weiland on Sunday, July 8.

Gates to Athletic Park will open at 12:30 p.m. and the Police vs. Fire softball game, featuring local Police and Firefighters, will begin at 1 p.m. Stay after the charity softball game as the Wisconsin Woodchucks take on the Rockford Rivets. The pregame ceremony will include recognition on the field for local Military members, Police, Fire, and First Responders. First pitch for the Wisconsin Woodchucks game is at 3:05 p.m.

A special ticket package is available for the event and includes entrance to both the charity softball game and the Wisconsin Woodchucks game. Tickets are $15 and include a field reserved seat, a grilled bratwurst or all-beef hot dog, and a fountain Pepsi product. Five dollars from each ticket package will go to the Weiland Memorial Fund.

The Wisconsin Woodchucks are excited to bring back this great event and support our community and our local heroes. Tickets for the event will go on sale on Friday, April 20. Order yours by calling the Woodchucks Ticket Sales team at 715.845.5055 or stopping by the Woodchucks Front Office at 2401 N. 3rd St, Wausau.
