Peoples State bank contributes $15,000 for Boy Scout camp improvements
The Samoset Council, Boy Scouts of America (BSA) has announced an investment of $15,000 from longtime community partner, Peoples State Bank. The gift comes as the Samoset Council launches the public phase of its capital campaign to raise $1.75 million for major projects at Camp Tesomas, one of the nation’s premier Boy Scout camps, located in Rhinelander. The projects include new shower facilities, Grand Council Ring and a Science & Technology Center among others.
Along with myself, many of us have lifelong memories of activities and friendships through youth camping. Peoples is proud to be the kickoff capital campaign supporter of Samoset’s ongoing leadership to provide children of all ages and income the opportunity for those same memories,” said Scott Cattanach, President & CEO of Peoples State Bank.
For over 100 years, the Boy Scouts of America has been one of our nation’s largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations. Today the Samoset Council, Boy Scouts of America, provides a program for young people that builds character and trains our future leaders to be “Prepared. For Life.®” and to live the Scout Oath and Scout Law. The Samoset Council has consistently ranked in the top 10 of the 277 Boy Scout councils in the country.
