MCPL Marathon City Branch to offer intro to knitting session for kids, teens
Kids, tweens, and teens can learn the basics of knitting during a special event on March 21 from 4 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. at the Marathon County Public Library’s Marathon City Branch, 515 Washington St., Marathon City.
During this session of the branch’s monthly Needle Arts Night, kids ages 7-18 can learn the basics of knitting, including casting on, the knit stitch and the purl stitch. Attendees will also get help getting started making their first project, a headband. Please note that attendees are asked to bring their own knitting needles (recommend size 7-10 1/2) and a 4 oz. skein of yarn.
