Float over to MCPL Wausau for boat science program on February 6
If your kids ever wondered how boats float and carry cargo, they can learn how by visiting the Marathon County Public Library for their Boat Science program on February 6 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the MCPL Wausau Headquarters, 300 N. First St., Wausau. A second, identical session will be held February 10 from 2-3 p.m.
Kids will construct their own boats out of tin foil and LEGO blocks and then float them in water. Attendees can then test their boat’s ability to carry cargo by loading it up until it sinks! This will be a great opportunity for kids to learn while they’re having fun! All supplies will be provided.
This event is free and open to the public with no registration required. For more information, call 715-261-7220 or visit https://mcpl.us/events/4190.
