RSVP Holiday Coffee Hour at the Marathon County Historical Society. People of all ages are invited to the Historical Society (410 McIndoe St. Wausau) on Tuesday, December 5 from 9:30 -10:30am. You will learn how they preserve our history, educate the community and how you can be involved! The program will end with a tour of the Yawkey House, festively decorated for the holidays! Coffee Kiosk Barista. Serve staff/visitors at Ascension Saint Clare’s Hospital as you make specialty coffee drinks and teas, during the afternoon shift. Also do transactions, and support opening/closing. Contact Catherine at 715-393-2605 or [email protected].
Environmental Education Stewards. Join Monk Botanical Gardens, year-round, to provide nature programs for children and adults. Topics include Youth Gardening, Nature Walks or other items of interest. Orientation, training and curriculum provided. Contact 715-261-6309 or [email protected].
Warehouse Packing Day. On the third Thursday of each month, help Wisconsin/Nicaragua Partners of the Americas package items such as linens, toys, tools, school supplies and household goods to send to Nicaragua. Contact Amy at 715-346-4702 or [email protected].
In-Kind Donated Items Needed
Give the Gift of Warmth. Gloves and long underwear are needed for the men and women who utilize the Catholic Charities Warming Center. Contact Tracy at 608-519-8069 or [email protected].
Food Items for Kids. Blessings in a Backpack distributes food to kids to help meet weekend and school vacation hunger needs. Desired items are Oatmeal (single serve), Mac and Cheese, Fruit Cups, Ravioli, and Cereal (regular and single serve). Contact [email protected].
