Marathon County Crime Stoppers is asking for your help to identify the male who stole a wallet in the Township of Rib Mountain and made several fraudulent purchases that same day.
On Friday, Oct. 20, 2017 at approximately 5 p.m., a female was shopping at JoAnn Fabrics when she was approached by a female who was asking her questions about items in the store. While the female victim was distracted it is believed an unknown male stole the victim’s wallet from her purse in the cart. Meanwhile, a male suspect was making purchases with the victim’s stolen credit cards at Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Target, Younkers and Victoria Secret. The male suspect had fraudulently purchased approximately $5,600 worth of merchandise before the victim was able to cancel the credit cards.
The male suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6 feet tall, 230 lbs, wearing glasses, a black hat with a Porsche or Ferrari emblem, a gray shirt with long black sleeves with a black hood, and black pants. It is believed he had an Eastern European accent. The female suspect is described as being about 5’2”, average build, longer brown hair, well dressed. The female had an accent as well.
