Tweens: Perform some after-school experiments at MCPL Wausau

The library is often thought of as a quiet place, but tweens cane get loud during the Marathon County Public Library’s next After School Experiments program, happening on October 26 from 4-5 p.m. at the MCPL Wausau Headquarters, 300 N. First St., Wausau.
Each month, MCPL will offer a new activity for tweens related to science or math. In October, the theme will be “Let’s Get Loud!” Tweens will use straws, water and some mathematics to learn how sound travels, how high or low a sound’s frequency is and how loud you can make a sound.
Future sessions to be held this fall include:
- November 30- The Time of Your Life: Explore different increments of time, including ridiculous challenges to beat the clock, and a test of your reflexes.
This event is free and open to the public with no registration required. For more information, call 715-261-7230 or visit https://mcpl.us/events/4033.
