Spook yourself with Halloween Anime After Dark at MCPL Wausau
Instead of staying at home and watching horror movies, get out and scare yourself with some dark and haunting Japanese animation! The Marathon County Public Library will offer a special Halloween-themed edition of its “Anime After Dark” series on October 31 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at its Wausau Headquarters, 300 N. First St., Wausau.
Attendees can visit the library to watch “Hell Girl,” where normal citizens send an email to Hell Girl, who will then torment the person of your choosing for all of eternity; and “Seraph at the End: Vampire Reign,” where a young man joins a vampire extermination unit to avenge the deaths of his family as the world comes to an end and vampires reign supreme. Both anime series shown are rated R17+ and are suitable only for adults 18 years and older.
