Learn more about Downtown Wausau at the State of the River District Dinner
The State of the River District Dinner is the only place you can learn, talk, and be immersed in everything about downtown Wausau’s River District. It is also an excellent opportunity to meet your favorite business and property owners in the River District and support small business in the community.
This year’s State of the River District Dinner will take place on Friday, October 13th at 6pm at the Jefferson Street Inn with catering by City Grill. The dinner is sponsored by Ruder Ware and music from Zach Finnegan and his quartet is sponsored by Schenck.
Among some of the items to be highlighted at this year’s dinner are the investments in the new temporary stage behind the library, new 400 Block Events sign, and first-ever River District full business directory brochure. There are many more firsts not just for Wausau River District, but for the City of Wausau, that the organization looks forward to highlighting at this year’s stakeholder dinner.
Attendees will also learn what it means to be a Main Street America program, what the “New Normal” for downtowns is and how Wausau is adopting to that trend, the wide-reaching importance of placemaking and residential attachment work the organization does, and meet some of the people who make our downtown a premier place to live, work, play, and visit.
Tickets are $25 each and can be purchased online at http://www.wausauriverdistrict.org/state-of-the-river-district-dinner/. Tickets are only available in advance until this Friday, October 6 and cannot be purchased at the door.
The purpose of the Wausau River District is to promote and facilitate the economic vitality and historic preservation of downtown Wausau for the benefit of the entire community.
