Author to speak about craft brewery tour of the state at MCPL Wausau
Wisconsin is known for its beer, and the recent popularity in craft breweries has only intensified that. Get an up-close look at the craft brewing process in Wisconsin from author and photographer Matt Janzen on November 7 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Marathon County Public Library’s Wausau Headquarters, 300 N. First St., Wausau.
Janzen, a Wisconsin native, will talk about his recently published book “State of Craft Beer,” which chronicles the two years he spent visiting more than 130 locations and taking over 30,000 photos. The photos and stories featured in the book reflect every aspect of the brewing process, including the fields and factories that supply breweries with everything from hops and barley to brewing equipment and tap handles. Janzen will also talk about production of the book itself, which was 100-percent manufactured in Wisconsin.
