Learn how to raise a successful reader at MCPL Wausau on Sept. 21
Do you want to make sure your children grow up loving reading and benefitting from the head start that early literacy gives them? Join the Marathon County Public Library for an event aimed at showing you how to successfully raise a reader on September 21 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 at the library’s Wausau Headquarters, 300 N. First St., Wausau.
Parents, caregivers and kids can learn why reading is so important and how it helps with a child’s brain development, especially in their early years. There will also be free books and activities available for kids ages birth through eight to take home, courtesy the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin Family Resource Center.
This event is free and open to the public with no registration required. For more information, call 715-261-7230 or visit https://mcpl.us/events?event_id=4032.
