Familiarize yourself with native plants of central WI at MCPL Wausau
Looking around the landscape of central Wisconsin, you might notice certain plants that are more prominent than others. Learn more about those and other native plants of central Wisconsin during a free presentation on August 15 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Marathon County Public Library’s Wausau Headquarters, 300 N. First St., Wausau.
Pam Resech of the George W. Mead Wildlife Area, will talk about native plants found across the region, with an emphasis on the 33,000-acre Mead. She’ll bring some examples for the audience to see up close, including some that may already be in your backyard or could be planted around your home!
