Help those in need through needle arts on August 9 at MCPL Wausau
Teens can help craft items in need for two charitable causes on August 9 from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Marathon County Public Library’s Wausau Headquarters, 300 N. First St., Wausau.
During this program, MCPL staff will instruct teens on how to make homemade fleece blankets for children in need for Project Linus, a national organization that provides blankets to kids; and make loomed or knitted hats for chemotherapy patients through Knots of Love. Looms, yarn, fleece, needles and patterns will be provided.
This event is free and open to the public with no registration required. For more information, call 715-261-7230 or visit https://mcpl.us/events?event_id=3479.
