MCPL Wausau to screen film based on best-selling novel The Shack
Beat the summer heat by coming to the Marathon County Public Library for a screening of the 2017 film adaptation of William P. Young’s best-selling novel The Shack! MCPL will screen the film on June 29 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at its Wausau Headquarters, 300 N. First St., Wausau.
After the abduction and presumed death of his youngest daughter, Mack Phillips (Sam Worthington) receives a letter and suspects it’s from God, asking him to return to The Shack where Missy may have been murdered. He leaves his home to go to The Shack for the first time since Missy’s abduction and experiences an encounter that will change his life forever. Also starring Octavia Spencer and Tim McGraw. Rated PG-13, with a running time of 132 minutes.
