The Marathon County Farm Bureau, UW-Extension Marathon County and Marathon Partnership for Progressive Agriculture are teaming up to sponsor the inaugural “June Dairy Month Promo Video Contest.”

To enter the contest, students must create a video of no more than three minutes in length that shows how they celebrate Wisconsin Dairy. Video entries must be sent via private message to the UW Extension Facebook Page by June 30. Videos will be shared via the UW Extension Marathon County, Partnership for Progressive Agriculture and Marathon County Farm Bureau Facebook Pages. The video entry that receives the most “Likes” by Jul 5th will win a basket of locally produced dairy products valued at $150.

“Dairy in Marathon County provides over 11,000 jobs and generates over 2.7 billion dollars in economic activity for the county,” stated Heather Schlesser, UW-Extension Dairy Agent. “June is Dairy Month, and a great time to show our support of our state’s dairy heritage. This contest is aiming to highlight the Wisconsin dairy products and traditions that we celebrate in Marathon County.”
