Get on board for railroad history event at MCPL Spencer Branch
Hop on board and travel down the tracks with the Marathon County Public Library as they offer a special program focusing on local locomotive history! MCPL will offer “Along the Railroad Tracks of Marathon County” on July 11 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Spencer Branch Library, 105 S. Park St., Spencer!
Gary Gisselman from the Marathon County Historical Society will present this program, which will focus on the history of railroad companies in Marathon County and the towns that they used to run through. Gisselman will present information and pictures and will also take questions from the audience. This program is part of the historical society’s “History Speaks” series.
