Wausau Area Heart Walk
The 2017 Wausau Heart Walk will last from 8 a.m. – Noon on Saturday, May 13. Check in at 8 a.m, walk begins at 9 a.m at Dudley Tower, 500 1 st Street, Wausau, being this a new location and a new walking route along the river, 1 and 3-mile routes are available. Everyone is invited- Heart disease and stroke survivors, their families, walk teams and the public. Pets are welcome too! Free admission, open to the public (donations are encouraged).
Each year, hundreds of walkers organize teams to participate in the Wausau Area Heart Walk to raise money for heart disease and stroke research. Throughout the event, participants will listen and share inspiring stories of survivors and learn from educational activities and screenings. The walk celebrates the American Heart Association’s goal to get more Wisconsinites active to improve their overall heart health.
