Meet a Spencer-area EMT on May 2 at MCPL Spencer Branch
SPENCER – Having to call an ambulance for a life-threatening emergency is indisputably a terrifying ordeal. Meet an emergency responder who actually responds to these calls on May 2 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Marathon County Public Library’s Spencer Branch Library, 105 S. Park St., Spencer.
An emergency medical technician (EMT) from the Spencer Area Fire Department will visit to discuss emergency medical response tactics and what happens as they transport folks to receive additional medical care. The EMT will also talk about ways the public can help EMTs do their job in emergency situations and will take audience questions.
