MCPL to host next tween book club and challenge afternoon May 7
Tweens can spend part of their Sunday afternoon discussing a book and competing in some timed challenges at the Marathon County Public Library! MCPL will offer its next Chat & Challenge Book Club on May 7 from 3 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. at its Wausau Headquarters, 300 N. First St., Wausau.
Tweens will discuss the book “Savvy” by Ingrid Law. This book recounts the adventures of Mibs Beaumont, whose thirteenth birthday has revealed her “savvy”- a magical power unique to each member of her family – just as her father is injured in a terrible accident.
After the book discussion, tweens can compete against one another in some fun “Minute to Win It”-style challenges that will test their mind, body and concentration! Read the book and join us for this fun and interactive afternoon!
This event is free and open to all tweens with no registration required. For more information, call 715-261-7220 or visit https://mcpl.us/events/?event_id=3354.
