Art Cluster Students’ Creations on Display at Public Library
Wausau School District 4th and 5th grade students possessing creative talents in the visual arts were invited to participate in the Art Cluster Program at the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum and The Boys & Girls Club of the Wausau Area in January.
Students viewed and learned about the exhibition at the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum, Tiffany Glass: Painting with Color and Light. The fourth graders used colorful tissue paper and acrylic paint to create their own Tiffany-style window design, and the fifth graders created their own Tiffany Lamp with recycled and repurposed plastic, tissue paper, and paint.
A reception for the student artists, their parents, teachers, and friends will be held on Saturday, March 4, from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Marathon County Public Library, 300 1st Street in Wausau. The student exhibit will be on display through March 23rd for the community to view and enjoy.
