Teens: create your next favorite computer game at MCPL Wausau
Many teens love playing video games, but now they’ll have the chance to make their own! The Marathon County Public Library will begin offering its six-week “Coding Games for Teens” course on Feb. 27 from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at its Wausau Headquarters, 300 N. First St., Wausau.
Students will learn the basics of game creation and will create a series of games using Scratch, a computer code created at MIT. Each week, students will be taught additional steps and will have time for tinkering, hacking and tweaking the games they create.
Classes will be held every Monday for six consecutive weeks, with future dates including:
