Whether you’re wanting to go out for a traditional Valentine’s date, have a cozy night with your loved one at home, or are dating yourself this Valentine’s Day, the businesses of Wausau’s River District are here to help you have the perfect celebration. Wausau River District’s newly-launched “listicle” blog details all the ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day with the River District. Every month Wausau River District will feature a new listicle with different things to see, experience, or learn about the River District and the over 220 businesses in it. This month, the blog highlights the many ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day in the District.

“I’m really excited to highlight all the ways River District businesses can enhance your Valentine’s Day,” says executive director Elizabeth Brodek Field. “The River District is truly a one-stop place for all the best of Valentine’s Day, no matter how or who you’re celebrating with.”

The series of blog posts lay out the many ways River District businesses can indeed be a part of your festivities, from nights out on the town ranging from classic to casual, to suggestions on creating an easy celebration at home, and even how River District businesses can help you treat yourself this Valentine’s Day. One of Brodek Field’s favorites? An at-home Valentine’s treat.

“We did that a couple years ago and it was perfect: a gourmet heat-and- eat entrée, salad, and bread from La Prima, organic wine from Downtown Grocery, and opera cake from Sweet Lola’s made the perfect at-home meal we could eat in our pajamas.”

Find this and other Valentine’s ideas at http://www.wausauriverdistrict.org/wrd-listicles/.And be sure to check out the real thing in downtown Wausau’s River District.
