Youth fisheree at Rookery Park
The Wausau Noon Optimist Youth Fisheree, an ice fishing contest for youth age 17 and under, will be held on Sunday, Feb. 12, from noon until 3 p.m. at Rookery Park on Lake Wausau.
Registration will be free and door prizes will be awarded to most participants. Prizes will also be rewarded for the largest fish in several species and the “Fish of the day” wil be mounted by Dave’s Wildlife Taxidermy and presented to the lucky angler at an Optimist Club meeting.
Come early and eat lunch, as hot dogs, hot chocolate and soft drinks will be available for 25 cents.
