Unmask your Grief at Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum
People will often mask their deep emotions to cope with grief and creating a grief mask may help reveal your true feelings. Create your own grief mask during “Treasuring Memories: Grief Masks” on Wednesday, Feb. 15, from 4 – 6 p.m. at the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum located at 700 N 12th St., in Wausau. The event is free to attend and is open to all ages.
This project will help guide participants to express the thoughts or feelings we show, and those we keep inside, through art. Decorate the inside and outside of your mask with colors, words, or any personal items you’d like to include. Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services is hosting the art event, in partnership with Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum, as part of the hospice grief programs for the community.
Registration is limited so please call the Woodson Art Museum at 715-845-7010 to secure your spot. For more information, please contact Amy Kitsembel at the Aspirus Grief Center at 715-847-2703.
