The Wausau Region Chamber of Commerce unveiled new branding for its young professionals group at a Jingle & Mingle event held on Friday, Dec. 9. Formerly known as E3YP, hype is a workforce development initiative of the Chamber aimed at attracting, retaining and meeting the needs of young professionals (ages 21 to 45). hype will promote young professionals, highlighting their achievements, inspiring them to further connect with the community and developing them personally and professionally.
The group held a rebranding contest earlier this year and hype was selected by the group’s steering committee as the winner from among dozens of entries. Traci Wisz of the Wisconsin Woodchucks submitted the winning name and has received a $50 gift certificate from the Chamber.
The purpose of hype is to connect young professionals to each other, the community and businesses; to offer young professionals leadership opportunities and development tools to grow and to encourage young professionals to work, play and stay in the Wausau region.
hype offers monthly events for its members, ranging from professional development and training programs to networking opportunities. hype activities serve to connect young professionals to the community and provide them with meaningful opportunities to interact with others in their age group, as well as with business and community leaders.
