- Lorene Ruby Hussong, 93, Wausau, died Monday, Dec. 5, 2016. Lorene was born Jan. 22, 1923, in Stevens Point, daughter of the late Richard and Ella (Hackbarth) Weber. She married Elmer H. Hussong on March 9, 1941. Lorene is survived by her children, Donald Hussong, Judith Ostrowski, William Hussong, Duane (Barb Garske) Hussong, all of Wausau, and Patricia (Sigmund) Opper of Merrill, 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Bernard and Jack, husband Elmer, one sister and two brothers. A Memorial Gathering will be held from 3-6 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 15, at the Helke Funeral Home, Wausau. Helke Funeral Home assisted the family.
- Janine Schalow, 56, died Sunday, Dec. 4, 2016. She was born Aug. 11, 1960 in Wausau to the late Walter and Joyce (Tesch) Schalow. Survivors include her sister, her brother and nieces and nephews. Helke Funeral Home assisted the family.
- Rose D. Crum, 95, died Friday, Dec. 2, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was born Sept. 14, 1921, in the Town of Berlin, to the late Gustav and Otillie (Kingbaum) Zimmerman. She married James W. Crum on Nov. 23, 1946. Rose is survived by her daughter, Deborah Crum, her daughter-in-law, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Rose was preceded in death by her husband James, sons Glenn and David, and many brothers and sisters. Helke Funeral Home assisted the family.
- Shirley Marie Snoeyenbos, 74, Wausau, died Nov. 16, 2016. Born April 13, 1942 in Meridean, Wis., Shirley was the daughter of the late Carlot and Ragna (Sandvig) Prestebak. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and two infant brothers. She is survived by her husband, Ed, sons, Anthony Snoeyenbos and Perry (Denise) Snoeyenbos, of Wausau; three grandchildren; a sister-in-law; a brother-in-law; a special niece; and six nephews. A celebration of Shirley’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 23, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Wausau. Rev. Visitation will be on Friday, from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Wausau, is in charge of arrangements.
- Annette. A. Hoffman, 97, died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016. She was born Oct. 10, 1919, in Marathon, daughter of the late Hugo and Olivia (Baur) Eisenman. On Nov. 27, 1954, she married John F. Hoffman. He preceded her in death. Survivors include her sons, Fred Mackesy, Round Lake Beach, Ill. and Joel Hoffman, Algonquin, Ill.; daughters: Mardell (Lee) Cronister, Fairview, Texas., Laurel (James) Owens, Ft. Collins, Colorado, Kathleen (Michael) McCabe, Skokie, Ill., and Jennifer Doherty, Kenosha, Wis.; three sisters, 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Mackesy, a grandson, three sisters and a brother. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 pm. Sunday, Dec. 18, at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Wausau, with visitation from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
