Help shape the future of MCPL by joining Teen Advisory Group
Are you a teen looking for a way to shape your community or have a say in what goes on at the library? Then the Marathon County Public Library’s Teen Advisory Group is for you! MCPL’s first TAG meeting of the year will be held on January 3 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Wausau Headquarters, 300 N. First St., Wausau.
The Teen Advisory Group is a great volunteer opportunity for students in grades six through twelve. Members help select materials for the library’s collection, assist with events, write reviews, create displays and help with other projects. TAG meetings are for members only, but teens can apply by filling out an application at www.mcpl.us/teenzone/tag.
TAG meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month, with future meetings on February 7, March 7, April 4, May 2, June 6, August 1, September 5, October 3, November 7 and December 5.
Free and open to all teens. For more information, call our young adult librarian at 715-261-7229 or visit www.mcpl.us/teenzone/tag.
