•Allow plenty of time to get to your destination. You won’t feel rushed and speeding could cause an accident and/or getting a traffic ticket.
•Be sure to pack an emergency kit with a blanket, flashlight (batteries), jumper cables, water, hats and gloves and non-perishable food items in case you encounter bad weather or vehicle problems.
•When you are driving, don’t text and drive. Have a passenger do the communicating if necessary. If possible, use a hands free headset.
•Don’t post on Social Media sites like Facebook that you are out of town. Wait to share holiday pictures and details once you return home, otherwise your home may become a target while you are out of town.
