•AARP Chapter 272 meeting- Third Mondays of the month, 1:30 p.m., Wausau Downtown Airport, 725 Woods Place, Wausau. Meetings will run 10 months from March to December 2016. The Dec. 12 meeting will be a Christmas Party at Schofield City Hall. Guest are welcome. There will be no meetings in January or February 2017. Prevention Specialist Assistant. The AIDS Resource Center of WI is seeking an afternoon volunteer to assist with needle exchange, clerical work, stocking shelves and making copies. Walk MS: Wausau Planning Team. Join the team that plans logistics, marketing, sponsorships and volunteer coordination for the May 13, 2017 MS Walk. A two or more hour a week involvement anticipated. Warming Center Volunteers. Stay with guests at the Wausau Warming Center. Be put on a team, or sign up with others to work shifts during the 6pm – 8am hours. Dec. 21: Elves in the Toy Shop Assistant. Help prepare the “store” earlier in the week, or come Wednesday to The Salvation Army to accompany a family through the process of selecting gifts for their children. Shopping is from 9am-9pm.
